My name is Travis Murdoch, and I am the owner and operator of City Wide Engraving. When I'm not behind the laser creating custom gifts and awards, I serve full-time as a firefighter in our Nation's Capital.

What started as a hobby and a leap of faith quickly grew into something much more. City Wide Engraving was built on the belief that meaningful, personalized gifts create lasting memories, and that a successful business should also be a force for good.

In 1989, I was adopted from Chile. Nearly 30 years later, I learned that I had been trafficked as an infant before my adoption. Part of the motivation behind starting this business was to help fund a journey back to Chile so that I can meet my biological mother for the very first time. Along the way, I also wanted to create an opportunity to give back to organizations that make a difference in people's lives, such as Nos Buscamos, the DC Burn Foundation, and other worthy causes.

At City Wide Engraving, giving back is part of who we are. Our goal is to donate 10% of our annual profits to charitable organizations each year, rotating causes so we can support a wide range of communities and individuals in need.
